MAA maintains strategic partnerships with premier regional and global organizations to uphold and advance advertising standards.
The objectives of the association are to promote the importance of advertising in driving competition in the economy, promote self-regulation and work with government, media owners and advertising agencies in ensuring an environment conducive to the growth of the industry.
The MAA leads initiatives to tackle some of the most business-critical issues affecting marketers today
Promoting marketing effectiveness
Representing collective interests of marketers in managing agency-, government- and media- related challenges in areas of business environment, regulation and cost;
Promoting advertising self-regulation;
Creating a collaborative business environment for marketing together with agencies, media & regulatory stakeholders;
Advocating the complete and accurate disclosure of circulation figures by media proprietors by participating in the management of Audit Bureau of Circulation.
Acting as arbitrator or mediator in settlement of disputes arising out of communications-related transactions.
Eliminating all fraudulent, untruthful, misleading or otherwise objectionable advertising, increasing thereby the public confidence in advertising and in advertised goods and services.

MAA Constitution
The MAA Constitution acts as a handbook of rules for the Malaysian Advertisers Association’s members. It defines the organisation and authority of the association and provides basic principles for members to adhere to.
