Record number of entries for Malaysia EFFIE 2015!

Marketingmagazine.com.my – With ‘Change’ being this year’s theme, the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) is excited to announce that the Malaysia EFFIE Awards 2015 saw an astounding 60% increase of entries versus last year. This year marks the highest number of submissions in EFFIE Malaysia history since its introduction in 2008.

MAA Vice president Chan May Ling, who is also Organizing Chairman this year says, ‘With the introduction of 7 new categories, this has allowed new entrants to participate in the awards, especially from e-commerce categories and new brand entrants. Also, the categories has widen to allow a single case to participate in multiple categories, which helps brands showcase the submissions with strong holistic campaign integration, that augments the breadth of the effective work.’

MAA President Margaret Au-Yong, one of the pioneers alongside with 4As in establishing the EFFIE franchise into Malaysia says, ‘The record breaking number of entries for EFFIE Award Malaysia 2015 goes to show that brands in Malaysia often strive for effective marketing to remain competitive especially in today’s challenging market place. It is extremely encouraging to see the amount of great work put forth that will raise the bar of effective marketing in the country.’

The Malaysia EFFIE Awards 2015 judging process will start with from 2nd– 16thSeptember (online) and final (physical) on 30thof September. This year sees a more senior jury panel that spans across seasoned professionals that are well experienced in judging in both local and international shows.

With the whole concept of ‘Change’, the gala dinner will be held on 6thof November, in a new differentiated location that will be revealed soon.
